Description

Teracom TCG140-4 is a versatile 4G LTE universal IO module designed for reliable remote monitoring, control, and data acquisition in M2M and IoT applications. It supports LTE Cat.1 connectivity with upload speeds up to 5 Mbit/s, and is backward compatible with 3G and 2G networks, operating across LTE-FDD, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+, HSDPA, HSUPA, WCDMA, EDGE, and GPRS. This ensures seamless operation in virtually any location with cellular coverage.

Designed for autonomous operation, the TCG140-4 communicates efficiently with remote servers and IoT platforms using HTTP/HTTPS POST (XML/JSON) and MQTT messaging. It includes multiple analog inputs (0–10 V and 0–20 mA), digital dry contact inputs, and a MODBUS RTU interface, making it compatible with a wide range of industrial sensors and devices, including all Teracom peripherals.

The TCG140-4 is the direct successor to the TCG140, maintaining identical I/O and digital interfaces while upgrading to 4G LTE connectivity and expanded frequency band support. This ensures a smooth migration from older 2G models, particularly in regions where 2G networks are being phased out.

Initial configuration can be performed through a standard web browser, while SMS and HTTP API commands allow remote setup and control. Over-the-air firmware updates simplify maintenance and field deployment. The device is built in a robust metal enclosure and comes with DIN-rail mounting accessories for industrial installations.
